Dominic Lisanti Car Accident Death Obituary
The community of Henrico is mourning the loss of Dominic Lisanti, an 88-year-old resident who died after being struck by a county vehicle along West Broad Street earlier this week. His passing has brought sadness to family, friends, and neighbors coping with the sudden tragedy.
According to Henrico Police Division, the incident occurred on Monday, April 20, near the intersection of Coppermill Trace and West Broad Street. Investigators said Lisanti was in the eastbound lanes of the roadway when he was hit by a Henrico County vehicle being driven by a county employee just east of the intersection.
Emergency crews quickly arrived at the scene and transported Lisanti to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Despite those efforts, authorities confirmed that he later died from his injuries on Tuesday, April 21.
Preliminary findings from investigators suggest that neither speed nor alcohol played a role in the collision. Officials stated that the driver remained at the scene and has been cooperating fully with law enforcement as the investigation continues.
At this stage, police have not filed any charges, noting that available evidence does not currently indicate criminal wrongdoing. The investigation remains active as authorities work to better understand the circumstances leading up to the crash.
