Kent Rotchy and Krysta Rotchy Found Dead

Two individuals were discovered dead in their home south of Juliaetta on Thursday afternoon, according to the Latah County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence along State Highway 3 at approximately 4:00 p.m. after a caller requested a welfare check. The caller reported they had not heard from the occupants for an extended period, prompting concern for their well-being.

Upon arrival, law enforcement officers found 66-year-old Kent Rotchy and 65-year-old Krysta Rotchy deceased inside the residence. Authorities have not indicated any immediate signs that another person was involved in the incident.

At this stage, officials have released limited information about the circumstances surrounding the deaths. The cause has not yet been determined, and investigators are continuing to examine the situation to better understand what occurred.

The case remains an active investigation, and the sheriff’s office stated that additional details will be shared once more information becomes available.

The Latah County Sheriff’s Office also acknowledged the assistance provided by the Moscow Police Department and the Idaho State Police during the response and ongoing investigation. Officials thanked the public for their patience as they continue their work.
