Dominic Lisanti Car Accident Death Obituary
The Henrico community is grieving the loss of Dominic Lisanti, an 88-year-old resident whose life was tragically cut short following a pedestrian crash involving a county vehicle along West Broad Street earlier this week.
According to authorities, the incident occurred Monday, April 20, near the intersection of Coppermill Trace and West Broad Street in Henrico County. Investigators with Henrico Police Division reported that Lisanti was in the eastbound lanes of the roadway when he was struck by a county-operated vehicle driven by a county employee just east of the intersection.
Emergency personnel responded quickly and transported Lisanti to a nearby hospital for medical care. Despite treatment efforts, officials confirmed that he passed away from his injuries the following day, Tuesday, April 21.
Preliminary findings from investigators indicate that neither speed nor alcohol appears to have contributed to the collision. Authorities stated that the driver remained at the scene and has been cooperating fully throughout the investigation.
